Benjamin Lusky is a Partner with the Firm, focusing his practice on Consumer Bankruptcy, Debt Relief, and Debt Litigation matters.

Benjamin was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and graduated from Dulles High School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Government and completing the Texas Business Foundations Program. Upon graduating from the University of Texas, Benjamin moved to Miami, Florida to attend St. Thomas University, where he obtained his law degree.

While in law school, Benjamin was an Articles Editor for the University’s Law Review. Upon graduating, Benjamin was admitted to the Florida Bar Association and, thereafter, the State Bar of Texas. Benjamin began his legal career in Miami, Florida, initially focusing his practice in Insurance Defense litigating property damage claims and claims against Long-Term Care Facilities.

In 2009, Ben moved to Dallas, Texas where he began to practice primarily Bankruptcy law representing debtor’s in consumer bankruptcy cases. Ben joined the Fears Nachawati Law Firm in 2014 as the Managing Attorney for the firm’s Bankruptcy Section, where he oversaw all cases filed in the Northern District of Texas, including Dallas, Plano and Ft. Worth. Feeling the desire to move back home to Houston, Ben formed Gordon Lusky in 2016.

Ben is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern, Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts of Texas. He is also a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Ben was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
